Description
The Lava™ Liquid Embolic System (LES) consists of the Lava™ LES Kit and the Lava™ Mixing Kit. The LES Kit includes a sterile vial of Lava™ liquid embolic suspension, a vial of DMSO, and DMSO-compatible syringes. Lava™ is an injectable, non-adhesive liquid embolic agent comprised of EVOH copolymer in DMSO with tantalum powder for visualization. The Mixing Kit includes a mixing manifold and syringes for preparing the agent. It is delivered via a DMSO-compatible microcatheter and precipitates into a spongy mass upon blood contact.
