Gateway PTA Balloon Catheter

Indications for Use

The Gateway PTA Balloon Catheter is indicated for balloon dilation of the stenotic portion of intracranial arteries prior to stenting for the purpose of improving intracranial perfusion.

Key Specifications

  • Over-the-wire co-axial catheter design
  • Balloon located near distal tip
  • Outer lumen for balloon inflation
  • Inner wire lumen compatible with guidewires ≤ 0.014 in./0.36 mm
  • Balloon provides inflatable segment of known diameter and length at recommended pressures
  • Exterior coated with BIOSLIDE, a hydrophilic surface to reduce friction
  • Tapered tip for advancement through stenosis
  • Radiopaque marker bands for fluoroscopic placement
  • Proximal Luer-lock side port connected to outer lumen
  • Wire lumen port for neurovascular guidewires
