Description
The Long Sheath or LS is a variable stiffness catheter with a shaft reinforced by stainless steel braid and a radiopaque Platinum/Iridium marker band on the distal end. It has a nominal outer diameter of 0.109 inches and inner diameter of 0.088 inches, available in working lengths of 70 cm, 80 cm, and 90 cm. The device features a PTFE-lined, braid-reinforced, flexible lumen with hydrophilic coating. It is inserted through a guide catheter or vascular sheath to provide access to the target site and serves as a reinforcing conduit for other intravascular devices. Accessories include a Tuohy-Borst hemostasis valve with extension luer and a dilator. The LS is supplied sterile, non-pyrogenic, and for single use only.
